Executive Director

Kevin Zhu is the Program Director at Algoverse. He holds a degree from UC Berkeley in Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences (EECS) and taught 3,000+ Berkeley students during his tenure as a lecturer for CS198-112 and 5-time Head GSI, specializing in upper-division algorithms.

His career took him through software engineering roles at Palantir and various startups, and into ML research at Citadel, Goldman Sachs, and Berkeley's RISE Lab. From working on ML applications in the stock market to improving convolutional neural networks, Kevin has experience across the spectrum of applied AI. He has also served as a reviewer for ACL and NeurIPS.

Today, Kevin leads Algoverse, where his focus is making AI research more accessible and harnessing the incredible potential of young individuals. By providing guidance and opportunities, he aims to inspire the next generation of researchers to explore new frontiers and drive meaningful advancements in AI.
