In addition to our recent trip to EMNLP in Miami, Florida, our students, Zhumazhan Balapanov and Olivia Holmberg, touched down in Vancouver, Canada on December 15th to present their research at the NeurIPS 2024 Compression Workshop!
Their paper, “QIANets for Reduced Latency and Improved Inference Times in CNN Models,” introduces QIANets, a novel approach leveraging quantum-inspired techniques to optimize convolutional neural networks. By tackling the critical balance between low latency and high accuracy, their work paves the way for more efficient, real-world applications of CNNs.
